abstract | Polyamide elastomers are high performance elastomers which are commercialized and polymerized by using monomers such as caprolactam, adipic acid, diamine, polyetherdiol, and short-chain diacid. These processes have low yield rate and long polymerization time, which influence the market of polyamide elastomers. The present invention relates to a process for obtaining high performance polyamide elastomers from polyamide and polydiol. Furthermore, the long-chain dimmer acid has been used as chain extender partially. The processes for obtaining polyamide elastomers include melting, transesterification, and polymerization under reduced pressure. As a result a better properties elastomer and a shorter reaction time, lower production cost and less pollution process are obtained. |
