Elecron-emitting element, electronic source using the element, field emission display device, fluorescent lamp, and method for producing those |
abstract |
The objects of the present invention provide an electron emitting element having a low operating voltage, a big operating current, and an operation stability, an electron source employing the element, an image display device and the like employing the element, and such elements, and methods of producing these apparatuses with fewer manufacturing steps at low cost. To achieve the objects, a cold cathode material is constructed by the use of hybrid particles comprising first particles for emitting electrons to a space and second particles for regulating the orientation of the first particle and being present near the first particles. It is preferable that the first particles should have a higher electron emitting efficiency than the second particles, and the second particles should have electrical conductivity. |
