abstract | An antifungal composition capable of forming a film is provided. The antifungal composition contains a film-forming substance having a tertiary amine group, an antifungal agent and water, and its pH falls in a range wherein the film-forming substance can be dissolved or partially dissolved. The film-forming substance is preferably be an alkyl methacrylate copolymer or a polyvinyl acetal diethylamino acetate. In the antifungal composition, a wetting agent, a keratolytic agent or a surfactant can be added so as to increase the permeability of the antifungal agent. When the antifungal composition capable of forming a film of this invention is applied to an affected part, a not sticky, closely covering film with good ability to release the antifungal agent and to permeate the keratin or the nail can be formed so that the trichophytosis, especially the tinea unguium can be effectively treated. |
