titleOfInvention | Membrane protein polypeptide having function of pre-B cell proliferation and the encoded gene thereof |
abstract | The invention relates to a gene encoding for a novel membrane protein peptide with the function of supporting activity of pre-B cell proliferation, a vector carrying the gene, a transformant transformed by the vector, and a production process for the novel membrane protein polypepide using the above gene. Also, this invention provides a monoclonal antibody recognizing the novel membrane protein peptide that supportive to activity of pre-B cell proliferation. The invention relates to a gene coding for a novel membrane protein polypeptide having the function of supporting activity of pre-B cell proliferation, bearing the whole or part of the sequence comprising 180 amino acid residues, and also a process for producing the novel polypeptide by transforming host cells with a vector containing the above gene and culturing the transformant to obtain the novel membrane protein peptide, and a monoclonal antibody that recognizes the novel polypeptide. The above gene codes for a membrane protein having the function of supporting pre-B cell proliferation. The invention process permits mass production of uniformed novel membrane protein polypeptides and also production of a monoclonal antibody that recognizes the polypeptide. Thus it is possible to prepare a reagent for the identification and clinical diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). |
