Particles are hydrophobicizing by treatment with a compound containing amino and silane groups, followed by treatment with a silane compound containing a hydrophobic group. The invention is particularly useful for treating hydrophilic mineral particles. The treated particles can be used, for example, as fillers in polymer masterbatches. |
