abstract This invention provides the preparation process of organopolysiloxane rubber which is characterized by polymerizing a cyclic organopolysiloxane with a low molecular weight linear organopolysiloxane end-blocked with a triorganosilyl group in the presence of a thermally decomposable catalyst. In the preparation of organopolysiloxane rubber, the catalyst is deactivated by heating the reaction product under a subatmospheric pressure before the completion of the polymerization reaction. Because the process thereof is not necessary to dry the raw materials, significant reduction of the formation of the terminal hydroxyl group in the organopolysiloxane rubber is achieved and there is no equipment corrosion occurred using the simple procedures. This preparation method is beneficial for the safe production of reinforcing agents such as silicon dioxide with the addition of the organopolysiloxane rubber composition in industry and the high quality organopolysiloxane rubber shows no wrinkling phenomenon.
