abstract | The invention relates to flame-retardant polycarbonate/ABS blends having high gloss and it obtained by polycarbonate with poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) and poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene). The ABS resin is core-shell type rubber and contains in blends have 5-20% by weight percents. There are 30-60% by weight percents diene rubber in core and there are maximum 5% by weight percents multifunctional group monomer in shell. And the shell contains acrylonitrile 10-30% by weight in ABS resin. The main components is polycarbonate and it contains 50-80% by weight in blends. Then another components is poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) and it contains acrylonitrile 10-30% by weight in itself. In particular to a polymer blends having a good high gloss and superior notched impact strength and good combination of flame retardancy, non-juicing characteristics of the flame retardant any easy for processing. |
