The present invention relates to a method for the purification of double-stranded nucleic acid, which method comprises (a) contacting a sample comprising the nucleic acid with a support to which is coupled covalently an oligonucleotide capable of hybridizing with a specific sequence present in the nucleic acid to form a triple helix; and optionally (b) recovering the thus purified nucleic acid. |
