titleOfInvention Improvement to matrix-type plasma panels
abstract The present invention relates to a matrix-type colour plasma panel comprising a first tile or front tile carrying a first array of electrodes (Y'1, Y'2) and a second tile or rear tile carrying a second array of electrodes, the first and second tiles being joined together to form a matrix of cells which are defined by the intersection between an electrode of the first array and an electrode of the second array, each cell having a discharge region with an aperture (Ep1, Ep2, etc.) on the colour side. According to the invention, each electrode of the first array consists of at least one element (Y'1, Y'2) covering the associated discharge regions, the element being made of a transparent conductive material and connected to a metal bus (B, B').
