abstract | The present invention relates to a mixed emulsion containing cross-linkable aqueous polyester and a method for making the same. The method comprises using a sulfonated polyester-type emulsifier with cross-linking properties, with acid value of less than 80 mg KOH/g, and IV greater than 0.1 dl/g to perform an emulsified polymerization reaction of unsaturated monomers. The polymerized emulsion of polyester and acrylic has the chemical characteristics of both acrylic and polyester at the same time. The emulsion has low organic volatile components, good mechanical stability and storage stability. Due to its cross-linking properties, the emulsion, while forming into a film, has an excellent adhesion, water resistance, heat resistance, and is suitable for the film coating of nylon, PET, OPP and lamination applications and the high performance industrial surface coating and bonding with high temperature resistance, water resistance and weather resistance. |
