A compound having formula I, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein n is 0 or 1; m is 1 or 2; m+n is not 3; A is NR2, O or S; A' is NR3, O, S or CR4R5; D is C(O); D' is C(O), S(O), or S(O)2; R1 is phenyl substituted with one or two of the following substituent(s): halogen, NO2, CN, CF3, and OH, thienyl substituted with nitro, or benzothidiazole; R2 and R3 are hydrogen, C1-4alkyl or phenyl-C1-4alkyl; R4, R5, R6 and R7 are hydrogen, or C1-4alkyl; and with the proviso that A"" is CR4R5 when D' is S(O) or S(O)2. The said compounds may be useful in hyperpolarizing cell membranes, opening potassium channels, relaxing smooth muscle cells, and inhibiting bladder contractions. |
