abstract | The present invention discloses a composition for making an alloy of polyamide/poly (ethylene terephalate), which includes a polyamide, poly (ethylene terephalate) and a compatibiler containing two epoxide functional groups. The present invention further disclose a process of making an alloy of polyamide/poly (ethylene terephalate) by compounding the composition. The interfacial energy between the phases of polyamide and poly (ethylene terephalate) of the alloy of the present invention is effectively reduced so that the compatibility therebetween is improved, thereby mitigating the moisture absorption problem caused by the polyamide while enhancing the impact strength of the alloy with a reduced cost of the materials. |
