Novel arylalkylamino compounds exhibiting calcilytic properties are provided. A compound according to Formula (I): wherein: R3 and R4 are, independently, methyl or ethyl; R5 is naphthyl or benzyloxy; or phenyl which can be substituted by halo or C1-4alkoxy; X is selected from the group consisting of sub-formulae (Ia), (Ib), (Ic), (Id) and (Ie) hereinbelow: wherein: in sub-formula (Ia): W is R1 or SO2R1, where R1 is hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl or phenyl-C1-4alkyl; R2 is hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl or phenyl-C1-4alkyl; in sub-formula (Ib): X1"" is CN, C1, F, Br, I or H; X2"" is H, C1, F, Br or I; R1"" and R2"" are, independently, selected form the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-4alkyl, morpholino and phenyl-C1-4alkyl; or R1"" and R2"", together with the nitrogen atom they are attached to, form a piperidinyl or morpholyl; in sub-formula (Ic): X1''' is CN, C1, F, Br or I; X2''' is H, C1, F, Br or I; R1''' and R2''' are, independently, selected form the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-4alkyl, morpholino, pyrrolidino, thiomorpholino, piperidino, and C3-6cycloalkyl which can be substituted by cyano-C1-4alkyl or phenyl-C1-4alkyl; or R1''' and R2''', together with the nitrogen atom they are attached to, form a N-C1-6alkoxycarbonyl-piperazino; in sub-formula (Id): D is CN or OR, wherein R represents C1-4alkyl; n is the integer 1 or 2; Y is C or CH; X' is CH2 or NH; a and ba are optionally present bonds; R1<IV> is (CH2)NCO2R', OR' or SR'; wherein R' is H or C1-4alkyl, n' is an integer of 0 to 2; or R1<IV> is H, CN or OR""; where R"" represents C1-4alkyl; in sub-formula (Ie): X2"""" is C1, F, Br, I or H. |
