titleOfInvention Carrier for carrying a nonpackage chip to be tested
abstract A carrier for carrying a nonpackage semiconductor chip to be tested and being mounted in a chip test socket is disclosed. The carrier comprises a body having at its one surface a cavity for receiving the chip; contact elements including inner contact elements and outer contact elements, and a fixing means, which is provided at one surface of the body, for holding the chip in the cavity, and the carrier has an apparent configuration compatible with the test socket so that the outer contact elements can be electrically connected to the socket leads. It allows a large scaled production of known good die by using a conventional semiconductor device equipment.
