abstract |
The invention relates to a process by which heavy metals can be recovered from the residues obtained in a plant for the partial oxidation of oils. This is achieved by separation of the heavy-metal-bearing soot which is obtained by partial oxidation of the oil in the primary oil gasifier, from the other substances thus produced and by thermal decomposition with other residues, the heavy metals being obtained in a separate state, i.e. either oxidized or metal. |
