abstract To provide a liquid bleaching composition having excellent bleaching power and capable of effectively preventing, even at a relatively high pH condition, the generation of gases caused by decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. A liquid bleaching composition containing: (a) 0.1-30 % by weight of hydrogen peroxide, (b) 0.01-6 % by weight of phenol or a derivative thereof, (c) 0.1-30 % by weight of a boron compound, and (d) 0-30 % by weight of a polyol compound.
