titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of 1-halo-3-triaklylsilanyl-benzene derivatives |
abstract | A novel process for preparing compund of formula (I), where X1 is Cl, Br or I; and R1, R2 and R3 each independently are selected from C1-C4 alkyl, the process comprising adding a suitable ether selected from either diethyl ether or tetrahydrogen furan to a mixture formed by ClSiR1R2R3 selected from a suitable aromatic solvent of either methyl benzene or benzene, and compuond of formula (II) at the molar ratio range between 2.0 and 2.4, wherein X1 and X2 each independently is Cl, Br or I; R1, R2 and R3 are as defined above; when X1 is I, X2 is not Br or Cl; when X1 is Br, X2 is not Cl; in which, 10% of the total weight of suitable ether as a portion is added into the mixture and the remaining 90% is added at the rate of 0.15eq/hr to 2eq/hr; the equivalent total of magnesium is 0.9eq to 1.1eq; the mixture is heated to 20 DEG C to 80 DEG C before the suitable ether is added. |
