titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of re-usable bottles starting from modified PET |
abstract | A process for the preparation of transparent re-usable bottles, which comprises molding by injection-blow molding copolymers containing units deriving from terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol to prepare an essentially tubular blank and characterized in that the copolymers contain from 0.1 - 10% in moles of units deriving from aromatic diacids different from terephthalic acid which are selected from isophthalic acid, 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, 4,4^-biphenyldicarboxylic acid, 4,4^-diphenylmethyl oxide, and from 0.1 - 15% in moles of units deriving from aromatic hydroxy-acids which are selected from p-hydroxy-benzoic acid, salicylic acid, 6-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid, making reference to the units deriving from terephthalic acid, and the copolymers contain 0.1~5% in moles of 1,2-dioxethylene units, making reference to the units of ethylene glycol; in which the blank being maintained at temperatures from 100 to 120℃ during blow-molding can be mechanically elongated and assembled. |
