abstract An adhesive suitable for applying on the dentine surface to glue the dentine and the filling resin, which comprises 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate and esterification adduct of polyvinyl alcohol and acrylic acid at a weight ratio of 20-5:1, in which the polyvinyl alcohol has a weight average molecular weight of between 60,000-85,000 and an alcoholization greater than 90%, and 5-40 mole % of the OH groups on the polyvinyl alcohol have been formed to esterification adducts of acrylic acid.
