The present invention provides a use of Protea plant extract for skin anti-aging; wherein, the Protea plant extract is a Protea Cynaroides extract. The Protea Cynaroides extract can increase the amount of elastin secreted by skin cells, and maintain the skin firm and elastic to reduce the wrinkles of the skin. The Protea Cynaroides extract can simultaneously effectively enhance the mitochondrial activity of the skin cells, thereby maintaining the vitality and normal metabolism of the skin cells to enhance the anti-aging activity of the skin cells. The Protea Cynaroides extract is prepared by extracting Protea Cynaroides using water, alcohols, or mixtures of water and alcohols as solvents. |
