abstract A norbornene-modified carbon nanofiber and a preparation method thereof are obtained by acidifying and chlorinating the carbon nanofiber, and then esterifying a norbornene compound. The present invention further provides a polydicyclopentadiene containing norbornene-modified carbon nanofibers and a preparation method thereof. The norbornene-modified carbon nanofibers and dicyclopentadiene are subjected to ring-opening polymerization under catalyst catalysis From the reaction. Thereby, the mechanical properties and thermal stability of the polydicyclopentadiene material are improved.
