abstract | The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a chemical conversion agent which is capable of forming a colored chemical conversion coating that has excellent corrosion resistance in or on the surface of a metal material; and the like. The problem is solved by a chemical conversion agent which contains ions (A) that contain a metal element that is selected from among zirconium, titanium and hafnium, ions (B) that contain a metal element that is selected from among chromium, iron, cobalt, vanadium and copper, ions (C) that contain fluorine, and an acidic dye (D), and which is configured such that the molar concentration of the ions (C) is not less than 6 times the molar concentration of the ions (A). |
