Semiconductor nanoparticle is of core/shell type and includes: a core containing In and P; and a shell including at least one layer, the semiconductor nanoparticle further containing at least Zn, Se, and halogen. In the semiconductor nanoparticle, molar ratios of P, Zn, Se, and halogen, with respect to In, are P:0.20 to 0.95, Zn:11.00 to 50.00, Se:7.00 to 25.00, and halogen: 0.80 to 15.00, each of which is measured in moles to atoms conversion. According to the present inventions, it is possible to provide semiconductor nanoparticle of core/shell type including a core containing In and P and a shell that is mainly composed of Zn and Se, the semiconductor nanoparticle having higher quantum efficiency, a smaller half width, and smaller stokes shift. |
