abstract The present invention provides a system and method for measuring the heart rate of larval fish. The system for measuring the heart rate of larval fish comprises: water circulating apparatus, image shoot apparatus, and image analysis apparatus. Wherein the water circulating apparatus comprises water flow tray, catchment element, catchment pump, water storage module, peristaltic pump, and drip apparatus. The water flow tray comprises a plurality of the grooves, and a plurality of the grooves comprises at least one of the larval fish. The catchment element connects to the end of the water flow tray. The catchment pump connects to the catchment element. The water storage module comprises water and connects to the catchment pump. The peristaltic pump connects to the water storage module. The end of the drip apparatus connects to the peristaltic pump. Another end of the drip apparatus corresponds to the top of another end of the water flow tray. The image shoot apparatus locates to the top of the water flow tray and shoots each larval fish to generate the image message. The image analysis apparatus connects the image shoot apparatus and receives the image message. The image analysis apparatus analyzes the image message by freeze frame, and the image analysis apparatus generate at least one of the larval fish heartbeat information. Wherein, the peristaltic pump guides the water of the water storage module to the drip element. The drip element guides the water to the water flow tray. The water flow tray guides the water to the catchment element. The catchment pump guides the water of the catchment element to the water storage module.
