abstract | Disclosed is a power controller for use of a power converter with an inductive device, in order to provide an output power. The power controller has a PWM signal generator and a jittering generator. The PWM signal generator controls a power switch to generate consecutive switching cycles. In each switching cycle, the PWM signal generator controls a peak for regulating the output power, where the peak represents an inductor current through the inductive device. The jittering generator is connected to the PWM signal generator to change the peak, and makes a peak difference between two consecutive peaks, where the peak difference has a sign and a magnitude. The jittering generator causes the sign of the peak difference being changed switching cycle by switching cycle. |
