The present invention is a method of measuring the atrial fibrillation index value, which is an index associated with the onset of atrial fibrillation, in which a biological sample collected from a subject is analyzed, and the measurement is selected from 16 metabolites β-alanine, threonine, Malic acid, fumaric acid, 2-hydroxypyridine, 2-oxoglutaric acid, serine, arabinose, heptadecanoic acid, ribose, isocitrate, phenylalanine, succinic acid, trehalose, citric acid 1. The amount of at least one metabolite in erythritol is used as the atrial fibrillation index value. The result obtained by measuring the atrial fibrillation index value can be used for the diagnosis of atrial fibrillation. |
