Provided is negative thermal expansion material that is composed of phosphorus zirconium tungstate containing aluminum (Al) atoms, and that has a thermal expansion coefficient from -2.0×10 -6 nto -3.3×10 -6 n/K. The present invention provides negative thermal expansion material composed of phosphorus zirconium tungstate that has various expansion coefficients, and a method of manufacturing the negative thermal expansion material, the method being industrially beneficial. |
