abstract Provides a mixed carrier containing 21 different pneumococcal capsular polysaccharide-protein conjugates, and a polyvalent pneumococcal conjugate composition, where each conjugate includes a conjugate with tetanus toxoid (TT) or CRM 197 , from Capsular polysaccharides of different serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae, wherein the serotype of S. pneumoniae is selected from 1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 8, 9N, 9V, 10A, 11A, 12F, 14, 15B, 18C, 19A, 19F, 22F, 23F and 33F, of which the capsular polysaccharide system of the two serotypes in serotypes 1, 3 and 5 is conjugated with TT and the remaining capsular polysaccharide system is conjugated with CRM 197 . A method for producing the mixed carrier, a polyvalent pneumococcal conjugate composition, and a method for preventing infection or disease of Streptococcus pneumoniae in one body are also provided.
