titleOfInvention Bone replacement material
abstract The invention relates to a two-phase calcium phosphate / hydroxyapatite (CAP / HAP) bone replacement material. The material shows an increased ability to induce bone formation. It has a sintered CAP core and at least one closed nanocrystalline HAP epitaxial crystal. A growth layer, the epitaxial growth layer is deposited on the outer surface of the sintered CAP core, wherein the epitaxially grown nanocrystals have the same size and morphology as human bone minerals, and are deposited on the outer surface of the sintered CAP core The closed nanocrystal HAP epitaxial growth layer has a heterogeneous outer surface, which includes independent clusters of flat crystal flakes composed of epitaxially grown HAP nanocrystals and rough regions between the independent clusters. Wherein, as measured by SEM, the percentage of the rough areas between the independent clusters is at least 20% of the total surface; and a method for preparing the same.
