titleOfInvention | Compound for reducing retinal damage caused by blue light and application thereof |
abstract | The invention provides a use of a glycosyl-modified phenolic acid compound for preparing a composition for reducing retinal damage caused by blue light. The glycosyl-modified phenolic acid compound is selected from the group consisting of coumaric acid gluconate, glucosyl ferulate, glucosyl ferulate, glucosyl caffeate, and any combination thereof. The glycosyl-modified phenolic acid compound can prevent the retinal cells from reducing the production of reactive oxygen species under blue light irradiation, so it can be used to reduce oxidative damage to the retina and prevent retinal diseases such as macular degeneration. |
