abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a polyhydroxyalkanoate containing a 4-hydroxybutyric acid unit in a high molecular weight body having a high breaking strength and a high breaking elongation. The solution is a polyester whose weight-average molecular weight measured by polystyrene conversion gel permeation chromatography is more than 1.25 million, and contains at least 3-hydroxybutyric acid units and 4-hydroxybutyric acid units as polymerization units. And, relative to all monomer units, the proportion of 4-hydroxybutyric acid units is 14 mol% to 40 mol%. |
