abstract |
Enfumafungin derivative triterpenoid antifungal compounds are used to treat or prevent the occurrence in or under such conditions due to their unexpectedly enhanced efficacy under acidic conditions with a pH below about 7. Fungal infection. The Enfofin derivatives triterpenes (or their pharmaceutically acceptable salts or hydrates) are inhibitors of (1,3) -β-D-glucan synthesis and are suitable for the treatment or prevention of Yeast or mold infections that occur in anatomical regions (such as the vaginal cavity) with low pH or under acidic local environmental conditions, such as those found in fungal abscesses, pus, or upper gastrointestinal infections. |
