abstract A method for remediating contaminated soil comprises: mixing the contaminated soil with an anaerobic mash in a ratio of 1:2 to 1:10 to extract a chlorine-containing aromatic compound from the contaminated soil to the anaerobic In the mashing solution, wherein the anaerobic mash is an organic substance subjected to anaerobic fermentation; and the contaminated soil and the anaerobic mash are separated. The method can separate a chlorine-containing aromatic compound from the contaminated soil, and the anaerobic fermentation broth can be heated to reduce the amount of the anaerobic mash containing the contaminant.
