Quantum dot and wavelength conversion member using quantum dot, illumination member, backlight device, display device and method of manufacturing quantum dot |
abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a cadmium-free quantum dot having a narrow half-value width of fluorescence. The quantum dot (5) of the present invention is characterized in that it does not contain cadmium and has a fluorescence half-value width of 30 nm or less. The quantum dots are preferably nanocrystals containing zinc and tellurium, or zinc and tellurium and sulfur, or zinc and tellurium and selenium and sulfur. The quantum dots preferably have a core-shell structure using the nanocrystal as a core, and a surface of the core covered with a shell. |
