Described herein is a chimeric Newcastle disease virus comprising a packaged genome comprising a transgenic gene encoding interleukin-12. The chimeric Newcastle disease virus and its composition can be used in combination with antagonists of planned cell death protein 1 ("PD-1") or its ligands to treat cancer. In detail, a method for treating cancer described herein includes administering a combination of a chimeric Newcastle disease virus with an antagonist of PD-1 or its ligand, wherein the chimeric Newcastle disease virus comprises The packaging genome of the transgenic gene. |
