abstract The present invention describes a light emitting diode module (100) comprising: at least one light emitting diode structure (10), an integrated reflector configuration (70), wherein the integrated reflector configuration (70) includes for reflection a reflector surface (72) of light emitted by one of the at least one light emitting diode structure (10), wherein the integrated reflector configuration (70) further comprises for transmitting via the light emitting diode Light emitted from a side surface of one of the body structures (10) is diffusely reflected back to one of the back reflecting surfaces (74) of the light emitting diode structure (10), and wherein the back reflecting surface (74) is directly attached to the light emitting surface At least a portion of the side surface of the polar body structure (10) such that during operation of the light emitting diode module (100), stray light is reduced by one of the side surfaces of the light emitting diode structure (10) emission. The present invention further describes a corresponding method of fabricating such a light emitting diode module (100). Finally, the invention describes a flash module, a car headlight or a projection LED system comprising at least one light emitting diode module (100).
