abstract |
The present invention provides a polarizing film, which is a polarizing film comprising polyvinyl alcohol (A) and a boron-containing compound (B), wherein the boron-containing compound (B) has a material selected from the group consisting of boric acid groups and can be converted into in the presence of water. At least one type of functional group in the boron group-containing group of boric acid groups, characterized in that the content of the boron element derived from the boron-containing compound (B) in the polarizing film is 0.1 with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyvinyl alcohol (A) ~ 3 parts by mass. It is preferable that the content of all boron elements in the polarizing film further contains boric acid and is 0.2 to 5% by mass. Thereby, it is possible to provide a polarizing film excellent in moist heat resistance. |
