The present invention provides a first titanium oxide particle containing a solid solution of a tin component and a transition metal component (except for the iron group component) capable of improving visible light responsiveness, and a second titanium oxide particle having a solid solution of the iron group component. An interior material of a titanium oxide fine particle having a surface layer having a visible light-responsive photocatalytic activity, and a method for producing the same. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a visible-light-responsive photocatalyst titanium oxide fine particle that can exhibit photocatalytic activity only in visible light (400 to 800 nm) and can easily produce a highly transparent surface layer (photocatalyst film). Interior materials that do not impair the design of the article and can achieve excellent photocatalytic performance such as the decomposition of chemical substances in the indoor air or antibacterial performance under indoor lighting. |
