abstract |
The present invention provides a method of making an electrochromic device that reduces the formation of a short circuit under a top bus bar without pre-determining where the top bus bar will be applied on the device. Devices fabricated using such methods can be deactivated under the top bus bar or can include active material below the top bus bar. A method of making a device having an active material under a top bus bar includes: depositing a modified top bus bar; fabricating a self-healing layer in the electrochromic device; and modifying one of the top transparent conductive devices prior to applying the bus bar Floor. |
