The present invention provides antibodies which specifically bind to glycosylated PD-L1 relative to non-glycosylated PD-L1, block the binding of PD-L1 to PD-1 and enhance the internalization and degradation of PD-L1. The present invention provides antibodies which recognize specific epitopes on glycated PD-L1 proteins, and which exhibit blocking the binding of PD-L1 to PD-1 and also promoting the internalization of PD-L1 on cells. Dual function. In some aspects, a PD-L1 polypeptide comprising a glycosylated amino acid residue at the amino and carboxy terminal positions of the PD-L1 extracellular domain is also provided. The invention provides methods of using such antibodies to treat cancer, in particular, PD-L1 positive cancer. |
