titleOfInvention | Footwear article and sole structure having sensory node elements disposed at a separate position |
abstract | The present invention is directed to an article of footwear comprising a sole structure attached to an upper defining a configuration to receive an internal void of one of the wearer's legs. The sole structure includes a sole body portion having a plurality of sensory node elements, the plurality of sensory node elements being located in apertures in the sole body portion. The sensory node element has a configuration to contact one of the bottom surfaces of the ground and move vertically within the aperture. The movement of the sensory node element pushes the top surface of one of the sensory node elements attached to a portion of the upper against the wearer's foot. The sensory node element provides a sensory feedback on the condition of the ground to the wearer's foot. The sensory node element is disposed at a discrete position across the sole structure to provide a sensation feedback at a desired portion of the wearer's foot. |
