abstract |
The present invention provides a pharmaceutical product comprising a low dose of pioglitazone for use in the treatment (e.g., delayed onset) of cognitive impairment in Alzheimer's type. The invention also provides a method of its manufacture. The invention further provides a method for treating Alzheimer's disease comprising administering a pharmaceutical product comprising a low dose of pigtras. The method includes determining whether the individual is at risk of developing Alzheimer's disease based on the age of the individual and the TOMM40 523 genotype. |
