titleOfInvention | Early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma |
abstract | The invention provides methods, analysis and kits for detecting hepatocellular carcinoma; and methods for stratifying individuals between higher and lower risk classifications of hepatocellular carcinoma; and treating suspected hepatocellular carcinoma or suffering from An individual at risk of hepatocellular carcinoma and a method of managing the treatment of the individual. Although previous work has attempted to address the need for high sensitivity, early predictors of hepatocellular carcinoma by evaluating one or more biological factors, it has not been clinically relevant to the individual, especially asymptomatic individuals, whether or not they have the condition. Determine the sensitivity required. The inventors have discovered that certain factor combinations satisfy this need by imparting high accuracy that was previously unavailable. |
