There is a need for new antibiotics with novel mechanisms of action that not only exhibit sensitive antibacterial activity against sensitive bacteria but also against their resistant bacteria, while having excellent solubility and a safe safety profile. Thus, in one aspect, the present invention has found a compound represented by the general formula (I), a stereoisomer or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which inhibits the DNA gyrase GyrB subunit and/or topoisomerase IV.
