titleOfInvention Method for extracting metal compound particles, method for analyzing the metal compound particles, and electrolyte solution usable therefor
abstract An object of the present invention is to extract and analyze metal fine particles (inclusions, precipitates) in a metal material by electrolytic etching using a solvent-based electrolyte solution, without changing the conventional extraction and analysis methods. The surface exchange of metal fine particles caused by Cu ions or the like is suppressed, and generation of artifacts such as CuS or the like is prevented. The present invention relates to a method for etching a metal material in an electrolytic solution and extracting metal compound particles in the metal material, and the electrolytic solution, wherein the electrolytic solution comprising an agent which forms a complex as follows is used. The complex compound includes a metal M' having a Δ of 10 or more as defined by the following formula: The solubility product of the metal compound M'x'Ay' is Ksp[M'x'Ay'], and is provided in the foregoing metal material. When the solubility product of the metal compound MxAy to be extracted is Ksp[MxAy], Δ=pKsp[M'x'Ay']-pKsp[MxAy] =(-log10Ksp[M'x'Ay'])-(- log10Ksp[MxAy]).
