abstract |
The invention provides nanoparticles, methods of use thereof, and methods of making the same. The nanoparticles of the present invention comprise a) an inner core comprising a non-cellular material; and b) an outer surface comprising a cell-derived cell membrane or a virus-derived membrane. A drug delivery system or pharmaceutical composition comprising the nanoparticles of the invention is also provided. The present invention further provides an immunogenic composition comprising the nanoparticles of the present invention, and the use of the immunogenic composition of the present invention to elicit an immune response and to treat or prevent a disease or condition, such as a tumor or cancer or associated with insertion of a toxin into a cell membrane. The method of disease or condition. A vaccine comprising an immunogenic composition comprising the nanoparticles of the invention is also provided. |
