A method for preparing a nitrogen-containing carbon electrode and a liquid flow battery thereof, wherein a carbon material, a polymer material and a modifier are first mixed to form a preform, and the preform is subjected to a forming process to obtain a shape a high temperature sintering, wherein a part of the polymer material is decomposed and removed, and another part of the polymer material and the carbon material together form a backbone structure comprising a plurality of pores, and the Nitrogen adheres to the backbone structure to form a nitrogen-containing functional group to form a nitrogen-containing carbon electrode. The nitrogen-containing carbon electrode can be applied to a flow battery. Thereby, the conductive property in the vertical direction can be improved, the internal resistance of the flow battery can be lowered, and the discharge power can be increased. |
