This invention relates to edible topping compositions which are pourable under refrigeration and at room temperature. The edible topping composition comprises a coconut component (i.e., coconut oil, coconut milk and/or coconut milk), a fat, a stabilizer, a sweetener, and water. One or more optional ingredients (eg, milk protein or soy protein, emulsifiers, thickeners, salts, phosphates, flavorings, colorants, preservatives, etc.) may also be used. The edible topping composition can be whipped and has a smooth, non-oleotrope and waxy mouthfeel in a whipped form. |
