abstract |
A high-capacity magnetic filter that separates the diamagnetic and/or paramagnetic material from the liquid stream. Under an external magnetic field, the diamagnetic solid material is magnetized by the synergistic action of the diamagnetic solid material and the induced paramagnetic material (IPM). The magnetic filter as a separation zone is created by an inducing paramagnetic material and a magnet, wherein the magnet shields the IPM by a non-magnetic sleeve or spacer. The IPM in the gap of the magnet provides a large surface area that can contact and attract diamagnetic and paramagnetic materials, and adjust the relative position and distance between the magnetic source such as the magnetic rod or electromagnet and the diamagnetic solid mixture and the IPM to induce diamagnetic solids. Magnetic, making it sufficient for the diamagnetic solid to be attracted to the magnetic field. Therefore, diamagnetic and paramagnetic substances in a liquid or gas can be removed. |
