The structure of the platinum complex comprises: a platinum metal ion, a zero-valent first nitrogen-containing heterocyclic bidentate ligand, and a negative divalent second nitrogen-containing heterocyclic bidentate. The first nitrogen-containing heterocyclic bidentate has at least one carbene moiety bonded to the platinum coordination. The second nitrogen-containing heterocyclic bidentate has at least one electron-withdrawing substituent and forms two nitrogen-platinum bonds or a nitrogen-platinum bond and a carbon-platinum bond with the central platinum metal ion. |
